Would anyone like to see Looking for Alibrandi at Belvoir?
Friday October 28 at 11.30am followed by a Q&A with the actors and director. The production is approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes in length, including a 20 minute interval. The Q&A would finish at approximately 2.20PM.

You may be familiar with the book by Melina Marchetta and/or the 2000 film. This play is a new work based on the novel by Melina Marchetta. The play contains some sexual references, some socio-religious discourse, moments of racism and the story includes a suicide of a young person, not depicted, but referred to as a major plot point.
The play includes:
Coarse language This production contains occasional coarse language, in English and Italian.
Stage violence There is only mild violence in the production. One character is hit in the face with a bottle of tomato passata, and passata is occasionally used as stylised blood effect during the show.
Suicide One of the younger characters dies by suicide offstage. This is relayed to other characters verbally, and has an emotional impact on the characters, but the death itself is not seen or described.
