Sydney Homeschool Community Band

Come and join a group of 30 adults, kids and teens playing sax, clarinet, flute, violin, cello, guitar, uke, drums, keyboard, trumpet, recorder, bass and more. We meet at West Pymble Scout Hall on Thursdays 9:30 – 10:45 and we love welcoming new members of ages, abilities and instruments! (We can’t accommodate complete beginners as we don’t have the resources to support them but they are welcome in the choir and our soon to start percussion ensemble) This term we will be working on the jazz tune Pink Panther, a face paced Number “Buck”  and a Coldplay song. We’ll also be joining the choir for a campfire singalong at the end of term. The cost is $150, siblings $120 and adults $80 (to entice them along!) Creative Kids Voucher available. Surfing lessons in Bondi Term1

There are still some places available for the following program in Term 1 in 2017. Following on from a very enjoyable 10 week segment in Term 4 last year and with the usual warm weather of February and March it was an easy decision to continue with these regular weekly surfing lessons. Dance Theatre Classes in Balmain East

Danceflowlife is a community based   dance theatre  initiative that allows anyone and everyone to connect with the beauty, creativity and artistry of dance. Classes for home education students will  run Fridays at 11-12pm and 4-5pm. These classes are designed to help young people move into their bodies in a playful and creative way while exploring elements of theatre, dance and performance. We work towards an end of year performance that is  collaboration with local  community artists and performers.  Cost

ESHE Friday Co-Op

The Eastern Suburbs Home Education Co-Op is organised by homeschool parents for homeschooled children. It is a day for the children (and parents should they wish) to participate in various activities while the parents are saved the hassle of driving to numerous venues. Each term, a variety of activities are on offer. This term, we have: The Makery – a space for kids (and parents) to explore art, craft, science and a little history and geography too, through nature-based activities.
