Next week, join us for a FREE livestream of our school matinee performance of Rafael Bonachela’s critically acclaimed Impermanence.
The livestream will take place from 12pm-2pm (AEST) on Thursday 8 September and will be available to view for up to 48 hours after the livestream concludes.
What’s Included
As well as the full-length performance of Impermanence, the matinee will include pre-show talks and demonstrations, and a panel discussion with Sydney Dance Company dancers and our artistic team.
About The Work
Impermanence is “arguably the single best piece created by and for an Australian dance company for many years” (Adelaide Advertiser). It is an exploration of the juxtaposition of beauty and devastation, featuring an award-winning score by contemporary composer, Bryce Dessner. Performed live on stage by the Australian String Quartet, and with the full might of Sydney Dance Company’s ensemble, this is an epic, energetic performance that will inspire.

Virtual Workshops
In addition to our school matinee, students can extend their learning with a virtual workshop delivered by our Teaching Artists! Contemporary workshops will give students the unique opportunity to learn repertoire straight from the stage and explore choreographic tasks from the production.
