SHEN Annual Swimming Carnival

It’s on again—don’t miss it! Join us for the SHEN Annual Swimming Carnival, a fun, supportive and action‑packed day for our homeschooling community. Make new friends, reconnect with old ones, and cheer each other on while enjoying good old‑fashioned sportsmanship alongside 150+ homeschooled children and families.
Tickets
Tickets are now available—get in early!
- SHEN Member Ticket: $15.00 per child
- Spectators: Free
Price includes pool entry for all competitors and spectators.
Please note: Members are kindly asked to purchase tickets only for their own children. We encourage friends and extended family to join SHEN and purchase their own tickets.
When purchasing a ticket, you will be required to:
- Enter your child’s full name
- Enter your child’s year of birth
- Age groups follow our athletics carnival and general sports convention. For example, a child born in 2019 will compete in Under 8s (meaning they will be 6 turning 7 in 2026, therefore they will be under 8 during the whole of 2026).
- Select the races your child would like to compete in
(If your child decides to withdraw from any race on the day, that is completely fine.)
- Select your preferred volunteer role, or simply indicate your availability

Please ensure a free spectator ticket is purchased for each spectator and that all contact details are completed. This information is required for event organisation and, in the unlikely event of an insurance‑related incident.

Spectators & Volunteering
As a spectator, we kindly ask that you contribute to the day by volunteering. This carnival is entirely volunteer‑run, and together we make it happen for our children.
Volunteers may be parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles or friends. We also warmly encourage teens who may not wish to race but would like to help on the day. For teens who volunteer as dedicated assistants for the day, we are happy to provide a work reference and incentives.
- Please select your preferred volunteer role, or simply indicate your availability when purchasing your tickets
- As the event approaches, roles will be allocated, taking preferences into account where possible.
- You will be notified and provided with details of your role as the day draws closer
- Volunteer preferences can be updated at any time by emailing us.

Wentworthville Memorial Swimming Centre
A beautifully renovated facility located in Greater Western Sydney, with central access from all areas of Sydney.
Facilities include:
- Two outdoor swimming pools (exclusive use of the 25m pool for our event)
- Large splash pad
- Grassed areas with play equipment
- BBQ area and playground
- Change rooms with hot showers
- Kiosk and poolside relaxation areas
