Our museum is your museum and we want home schoolers to experience the same joy and opportunities that our regular school programs deliver. In 2019 we will run home school days across all MAAS venues. Simply choose from the scheduled dates shown below and book in. Please check this page regulalry for updates throughout the year.
Each day, depending on the venue, will be guided by our collection and core activities to include a mixture of the following: coding, Australian Indigenous Astronomy (Boorong community of the Wergaia Nation), STEAM careers, collection based learning, rapid prototyping, design thinking and more. Each program will be 4 hours duration with a break in the middle. They will cater to the needs of learners 5 years and over.
SYDNEY OBSERVATORY, Monday 13 May 2pm to 6pm
Australian Indigenous astronomy, telescope viewing and lunar photography (weather permitting and bring a smart phone), Augmented Reality, planetarium, weather data collection and prediction, the art of the Moon (bring a smock).
