An open age mixed dance class for students who are homeschooled to attend with other homeschooled students while learning different dance styles taught in the true Bluebird style of fun, creative expression and a shared love of movement and music. A mix of Jazz, hip hop, contemporary and lyrical with the basic elements of classical ballet taught with a modern approach. Some weeks we will mix it up with some musical theatre, or acrobatics with basic tumbling tricks on a mat. Overall, the class focuses on movement and fun in a nurturing environment.
There is no uniform or shoes required for this class, although children should wear comfortable clothes suitable for moving around, and ballet or jazz shoes might be helpful.
Parents do not have to stay for the class duration. There are cafes in Freshwater village nearby, and a small public playground next to the studio for younger children.
Aimed at: all ages from 4.5 to 12 years. Usually the group age range is 5 years to 10 years.
