- SHEN has insurance to cover the Athletics and Swimming Carnivals for paid members only.
- SHEN offers Public Liability, Volunteer Insurance and Work Experience insurance for members.
PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE
To qualify for public liability insurance coverage, the organiser(s) need to:
- Be a current SHEN member
- Have a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Attend the event
- Be acting in a volunteer role (not getting paid)

Parents are responsible for their children at all times.

This insurance is great if you’re renting a meeting space, as many venues require it.

WORK EXPERIENCE INSURANCE
This insurance is here to support home-educated students who are volunteering for work experience. It offers personal accident coverage, though the amount is limited. To qualify, the parent or guardian needs be a current SHEN member, and the student should be volunteering.
Please note that public liability insurance isn’t included with this SHEN coverage; the employer needs to have their own.
