Invitation to join Concert Band

Do you play an instrument and want to join a concert band?

Our multigenerational band is always on the lookout for new players. Young musicians and the young at heart, who currently play an instrument, are welcome to join the band and experience a variety of music styles and performance opportunities. The band practices weekly in Belmore.

If you would like to join the band, you would need to have finished third grade (or equivalent) on your instrument and be reasonably proficient at sight reading.

South Pacific Concert Band is a community band under the leadership of veteran musical director, Barry Davidson. Barry is an experienced band master who has worked with various bands including school bands. Many of these bands have won awards at competitions.

If you are interested in seeing the band before you join, come along to Padstow RSL Club on Sunday 25th June, 2-4pm. The South Pacific Concert Band is enthusiastic and will quickly get you in the mood as it draws from a repertoire of over 80 pieces with something for everyone in your family. You will be entertained as you relax and enjoy a diverse range of music with selections from James Bond, Adele, Hawaii Five-O, Rolling Stones, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Duke Ellington and the Jersey Boys as well as some favourites like the Big Band Bash.

This Concert Band is also a Marching Band. It has participated in many National and Cultural events around Sydney.

This event is for the regular band practices at Belmore.
