Voice Out: Teen Podcasting Course

Voice Out is an immersive, 8 week hands-on podcasting course designed for homeschooled teens who want to explore public speaking, storytelling, creativity, and media production in a fun and supportive environment.

Students learn by doing — researching, designing, recording, editing, and launching their very own podcast episode using professional-grade microphones, camera, and editing tools in our studio. A Class is made up of 6 – 8 students.

Whether they dream of becoming creators, interviewers, or confident speakers, this experience helps them find their unique voice and learn real-world communication skills.

It helps meet a number of NSW Curriculum objectives for Stage 5 and 6, primarily within the English, Media and Technology learning areas.

This course is 8 weeks long and requires commitment both in-person and online.

Format: Hybrid (In-person studio sessions + Online assignments/discussions).

Duration: 8 weeks, one 90-minute session per week.

Location: Online and the Sunrise Podcasting Studio.

Independent Work: Participants are expected to complete some weekly tasks, including research and online discussions with peers.
