DESCRIPTION:Primary Workshop- Magic and Mayhem \n10:30am-12:30pm \nAges 8-11 \nWe believe our journey with Shakespeare should start young. Bell Shakespeare’s Magic and Mayhem Primary workshop is designed to immerse students in Shakespeare through playful and interactive storytelling. Our teaching artists will take young students on a two-hour narrative journey through some of Shakespeare’s magical array of characters\, from a number of plays. Students will learn about character\, language techniques\, and expanding vocabulary. We’ll intersperse creative and critical thinking activities throughout so you can continue to explore Shakespeare long after we’ve gone. Most importantly\, we will deliver an entertaining\, engaging and informative Shakespeare immersion that will have students on their feet\, speaking and playing with Shakespeare. \nTexts included in workshop: A Midsummer Night’s Dream\, The Tempest\, Macbeth \nThis workshop has been kindly subsidised by Bell Shakespeare \nMaximum number of participants – 30 \nWorkshop will be held at Bell Shakespeare premises – Pier 2/3\, Walsh Bay Arts Precinct\, Hickson Road\, Dawes Point (in between The Rocks and Barangaroo) \nPlease note: an accompanying adult and younger (non-participating) siblings are permitted to attend as audience but need to be quiet.  If you want a chat\, then there are tables and chairs outside the workshop room or outside the pier with beautiful views of the Harbour and lots of restaurants/cafes.
