DESCRIPTION:For high school age students who are homeschooling and wanting to learn woodwork (beginners and Intermediate/Advance classes). Prepare yourselves to build terrific timber projects and make new friends. Working independently with supportive and highly experienced teachers. \nWoodchix Foundation\, Emu Plains. \nMondays 12:30 – 2:30pm\, six weeks (see website for dates) \nAttend for 1 term or you can decide to attend all 4 terms for 2026\, just pay by the term via the website during the relevant school holidays. \nSign up for the time & day you would like for your child each term. The days are suitable for all the terms in 2026. Places must be paid for to secure your child’s spot. Attend the Woodchix workshop at 95 Great Western Hwy\, Emu Plains and pay the teacher your $10 each visit. There will be information & talks one day each time slot per term on apprenticeships & other career options. Parents will be notified when the careers talks are to happen each term. \nCost $220 per Woodchix term + $10 per visit. \nMin 4\, Max 12 students per class. \nAll the classes on the Monday (see the website for more details)\nMonday (advanced) 10-12\nMonday (beginners) 12:30-2:30\nClass Scheduling Disclaimer\nPlease note that if a scheduled time slot does not meet the minimum enrolment requirement\, we may need to consolidate classes. SUMMARY:Woodworking classes for homeschoolers (Term 1) - Weekly on Wed in February
DESCRIPTION:Woodwork for start of 2026!  3 spots remaining. \n\n\n\nWe have secured a woodwork class for this term at ‘Among the Trees’ in Marrickville – both Luke and Noel are available for us starting Wed 4 Feb.\n\n\n\nTiming is same as last year with two teachers (each student also needs an adult helper): \n\nFour sessions on Wednesdays 1-2.30pm at Among The Trees in Marrickville.\nWednesday 4 Feb\nWednesday 11 Feb\nWednesday 18 Feb\n\nWednesday 25 Feb \n\n\n\nCost: $360 per child – we need 10 kids (7 spaces already taken). Ages 8 and up.  Each child needs an adult to attend with them.\n\n\n\nThe project Luke has suggested is a stool which is a self contained activity (ie: you come out with a stool after 4 weeks) but then\, trickily\, those wanting to do second term can turn it into a chair. DESCRIPTION:Homeschool Music Community Term One Classes … with TWO NEW CHOIRS \n\n\n ROCK CHOIR singing with a live band. Come along if you love to sing rock and pop or if you are a guitar\, bass or percussion player. For tweens\, teens and adults 12-12:45 with Lisae and Kara. Pm me for the songs so you can start practising!\n\n\n VOCAL ENSEMBLE singing more complex and nuanced works in four part harmony. Come along if you love to sing choral works\, folk\, world and classical music. For tweens\, teens and adults 11:15-12 with Liz.\n\n\n FAMILY MUSIC CIRCLE for 4-9yr olds and their families. Come along if your child loves singing\, dancing and exploring all things music in a fun and relaxed environment. 11:15-12 with Lidia and Kara\n\n\n HOMESCHOOL BAND rehearsing 10-11 with Liz\, Kara and Lisae. Come along if you have some experience playing an instrument. This term we are learning a piece from the Lord of the Rings.\n\n\n PRIVATE INSTRUMENT LESSONS are available on flute\, recorder\, guitar\, keyboard\, trumpet\, trombone\, bass\, percussion\, clarinet and saxophone. Various days and times so please get in touch if you are interested. Instrument hire available. A new training band will start soon so it’s a great time to begin lessons!\n\n\n\n\n\nAll groups run on Thursdays in West Pymble.\n\n\nPm Kara to book in for a free trial or to get our FAQ \n\n\nChoirs $120 per term\, siblings $100 \n\n\nBand $150 per term\, siblings $120 \n\n\nInstrument lessons range from $265-400 for the term with instrument hire $50.\n\n\nThe Homeschool Band is looking for new members!  \n\n\n\n\n\nWould your child like to learn an instrument? \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe have opened up more days so there’s room to take on new beginners \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere’s new locations in Thornleigh and Forestville as well as West Pymble.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLessons are available on clarinet\, flute\, saxophone\, trumpet\, trombone\, keyboard\, guitar\, percussion\, bass\, and recorder.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur teachers are experienced musicians and homeschool parents.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSome instruments can be hired out (flutes\, clarinets\, trumpets\, trombones)\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA new training band will start next term so it’s a great time to begin learning!\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere’s a range of prices in an attempt to make it affordable for everyone. $200 for a shared 30 min lesson\, $265 for a private 20 min lesson and $400 for a private 30 min lesson.
