SUMMARY:KinHub (Inner West)
DESCRIPTION:KinHub offers neuro affirming and trauma informed sessions every Tuesday during school terms in Marrickville (10.30am – 1.30pm) for kids age 5-15+. Sessions run for 3hrs and cost $45 (paid by the term). What’s included:\n\n\n\nFacilitated programs with expert mentors (eg drama\, street art\, film) – PDA friendly approach\nUnstructured activities (eg pool table\, ping pong\, arts/crafts/STEM)\nAll materials and mentors\nAccess to additional KinHub offsite activities + opportunities (additional fees may apply for ticketed excursions)\nAccess to the KinHub community & networks\nConnection and informal support for parents/carers\nSupported group environment to help young people build positive peer connections\nAccess to outdoor park space for movement\, sensory breaks + informal play\n\n\n\n\n\nI know committing to a full term can feel like a huge step (especially for our cohort). Getting out the door isn’t always straightforward and some weeks will be harder than others. But what we see again and again is that the consistency is what makes the difference. DESCRIPTION:Bookings – https://www.trybooking.com/DNXME \nStudents are $33.30 and adults are $15.88 if they’d like to attend the morning session (plus $12 at the Chinese Garden for adult entry in the afternoon). \nThe excursion is in two parts beginning in the Rocks and finishing in the afternoon at the Chinese Garden. \nGroundwork: Archaeology at The Big Dig – Students will use written and archaeological sources to undertake an investigation into the lives of some of the people who lived and worked in The Rocks in the 1800s. \nSilk Road to Gold Tracks – At the Chinese Gardens at Darling Harbour. We’ll examine the history of Chinese immigration to Australia\, track migration routes and observe how these past and present communities have shaped modern multiculturalism.
