SUMMARY:KinHub (Inner West)
DESCRIPTION:KinHub offers neuro affirming and trauma informed sessions every Tuesday during school terms in Marrickville (10.30am – 1.30pm) for kids age 5-15+. Sessions run for 3hrs and cost $45 (paid by the term). What’s included:\n\n\n\nFacilitated programs with expert mentors (eg drama\, street art\, film) – PDA friendly approach\nUnstructured activities (eg pool table\, ping pong\, arts/crafts/STEM)\nAll materials and mentors\nAccess to additional KinHub offsite activities + opportunities (additional fees may apply for ticketed excursions)\nAccess to the KinHub community & networks\nConnection and informal support for parents/carers\nSupported group environment to help young people build positive peer connections\nAccess to outdoor park space for movement\, sensory breaks + informal play\n\n\n\n\n\nI know committing to a full term can feel like a huge step (especially for our cohort). Getting out the door isn’t always straightforward and some weeks will be harder than others. But what we see again and again is that the consistency is what makes the difference. DESCRIPTION:Auseco have been a leading Geography and Science Fieldtrip Educator for over 40 years to schools across NSW.  Now they are reaching out to provide these excellent opportunities to Homeschoolers. \nDescription\n\nWhy learn about places from a textbook when you can investigate them firsthand? \nJoin us for a hands-on day of outdoor learning as we explore some of Sydney’s most iconic harbourside suburbs. We’ll walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge\, visit hidden local gems\, collect real-world data and discover what makes a place a great place to live. \nDesigned for Stage 3 and Stage 4 homeschool students\, this excursion brings Geography to life through practical investigations\, fieldwork and observation in one of the world’s most spectacular urban environments. \nWhat we’ll do \n\nWalk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge\nExplore Millers Point\, Milsons Point and Lavender Bay\nUse fieldwork equipment to measure noise\, light and temperature\nConduct neighbourhood surveys and investigate community facilities\nComplete field sketches and map-based activities\nCollect and analyse real-world data\nVisit a hidden harbourside garden created from a former railway embankment\nMeet and learn alongside other homeschool students\n\nWhy families love fieldwork \nMany students learn best when they can move\, explore and experience concepts in the real world. \nThis excursion provides an engaging alternative to desk-based learning and gives students the opportunity to investigate Geography firsthand while spending the day outdoors. \nAll fieldwork equipment is supplied\, and every student will have the opportunity to participate in practical activities throughout the day. Worksheets are also provided and may be completed during the excursion or used afterwards as part of your homeschool excursion package. \nGeography fieldwork \nFieldwork is an important part of the NSW Geography syllabus.
